EcoGestos - Citizen Impact Stories
When one person acts, the world changes
At the Carbon Footprint Association we believe in the power of small citizen actions. That's why we've created this space to share the EcoGestos / real stories of people like you who are reducing their carbon footprint, inspiring others and building more sustainable communities.
Each story is a seed of change.
Each person is a living example that it can be done.
What is an Ecogest - Impact Story?
An EcoGesture or Impact Story is the testimony of someone who has:
-
Measured your carbon footprint
-
Implemented real lifestyle changes
-
Participated in EcoGestos, EcoTours or AHC activities.
-
Inspired by their environment (family, neighborhood, school, company)
-
Demonstrated that citizen commitment counts and transforms
Real examples of EcoGestures that inspire without being exhaustive
Laura, neighbor.
"I started by measuring my footprint in the citizens course. I was surprised by the impact of my mobility. I switched from car to electric bike to commute to work. Now I also do EcoGestos workshops with my children. My family has reduced its footprint by 38% in one year."
Ramón, active retiree
"I am 70 years old and live alone. I participated in an eco-tour with my colleagues at the senior center. I learned to reduce my energy consumption, I separate waste correctly and now I give talks to other seniors. It's not too late to start."
Isa, neighborhood chef
"My restaurant is small, but I've made big changes: km0 menu, plastic reduction, composting and green energy. I measured my footprint with AHC and every week we try to make a new EcoGesto. I'm now part of the sustainable supplier program for community customers."
Do you also want to tell your story?
Send us your story and help us inspire more people.
You just need to answer a few simple questions:
-
What motivated you to act?
-
What changes did you make?
-
What did you learn?
-
What would you say to someone who hasn't started yet?
The best stories will be published on our website and social networks, and may be part of our next citizen e-book.
