Update and new features of MITECO's 2024 Carbon Footprint Calculator [ Carbon footprint of an organization. Scope 1+2 ] Download it here:
The Ministry for Ecological Transition has published the new version of its official calculator for recording the 2024 carbon footprint.
The Carbon Footprint Association has compared the emission factors of the new calculator (version 31-2024) with those of the previous one (version 29-2023), and these are the main changes detected:
What remains the same:
The Natural Gas emission factor (kWh PCS) remains constant: 0.182 kgCO₂e.
What has changed for V.30-2024:
1.- Diesel C (l) rises from 2.721 → 2.898 kgCO₂e.
2.- Diesel B (l) up from 2.721 → 2.737 kgCO₂e.
3.- Fuel oil (l) down from 3.124 → 3.031 kgCO₂e
These adjustments directly affect the total emissions reported by your organization. We have not observed any other changes.
